the ring is made of some (3) pieces of silver-scrap lined with gold inside.
they come from portuguese jewelry of the early to mid 20th and were supposed to be refined to pure metals...
there is a centre-stone-fire opal, and in the opposite segments two tiny diamond roses...the tentacles are added...and that is what silver looks like...the whitest metal there is...unless you polish, then it reflects whatever it meets.
the short glimps at your glass work was promising...I'll have a closer look.
where did you learn your craft? it is such a colourful media.
...how about a glimps into metal-work. we give a workshop in late july in portugal....
I took several classes which were taught by Don Miller in one of UofM's many chemistry labs.
