...doubts about internet-platforms have been on my mind for some time. Now reaching a 7000 views they are still there and have even got bigger.
I saw the number grow, some initial addiction to dA and admiration for the great work in many dA-areas during the first 2 years and then a point of stagnation followed.
It seems to be typical for the net-platforms to have short lifespan, but here on dA it is a question of endless resources.
There will always be someone new, showing something new and personal.
Realizing this keeps me here, but realizing this also makes me wonder about some standards which have been set here on dA. Since this is an art-platform originality and newness should be the base for the work shown.
Now who can judge other than a group of judges - other than the owner of the platform, independent, but still inside the fields, each for the field where she or he is working in...plus a common sense.
We are Millions of participants here and still 100000s are on the wrong platform, and another 100000s may be excluded because of not being understood or misjudged...
How can dA get more open and more art-related at the same time?
...I have been seeing people leaving, people being banned and pages which might fit better on a chat-forum, fb, etc.
Categories like: astonishing, dangerously open, disturbing- independent from the works chosen category and quality might be a platform on dA for the FREAKS and ETs of the existing platform, who now are banned or ignored.
